A53 partially blocked due to accident and fuel spillage

The A53 is reported to be partially blocked following an accident in North Staffordshire this morning (Wednesday June 26). Traffic is reported to be queueing in both directions following the collision near the junction of the road and Three Mile Lane in Whitmore in Newcastle Borough. Inrix, the traffic data company, also reports there has been a fuel spillage as a result of the accident. The collision was first reported to StokeonTrentLive at around 9.10am today. We have no further information at this stage.
