With the summer on the horizon and most people ready to settle down, the coaching staff is doing an excellent job of devoting time to their recruiting targets. This past weekend, the Cornhuskers held an unofficial visit for JuCo prospect Perrion Winfrey. The six-foot-four defensive tackle has offers from a plethora of prestigious schools.Winfrey announced that his updated list of possible destinations features Alabama, Florida State, LSU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, and Texas.Obviously competing with great recruiters like Nick Saban and Lincoln Riley won’t be an easy task for Frost. However, Winfrey did give his vote of approval to the Cornhuskers on Twitter. In a short but positive message to Nebraska, Winfrey hinted that he’ll eventually be back in Lincoln.Check it out:The University Of Nebraska showed so much LOVE❤️🌽 I WILL BE BACK ☠️ #Huskers #GBR https://t.co/DScB0dtaYx pic.twitter.com/kSVYT4yT4t— Perrion Winfrey🦍 (@perrionwin) May 26, 2019Winfrey could take another visit to Nebraska during the football season. This would give him a chance to take in the crowd on game days. It’ll probably be a while until Winfrey comes to a decision, but Nebraska fans will want to keep an eye on him. Between the team’s current state of recruiting and his kind words for the university, it wouldn’t be a shock if he becomes a Cornhusker down the road.last_img
