first_imgIn round one of the South Australian State League, Eastern Stingrays and Central Scorpions were winners in both the Premier and B divisions.In the Premier division, the Stingrays were 4-2 winners over the South West Wolves, while the Scorpions were four touchdown winners over the Defence Eagles, 6-2. In the B Division, the Stingrays were too good for the Wolves winning 8-4, while the Scorpions were close winners over the Vipers, winning 9-8. Round two of the CMI State League will be played Friday, 16 October at City Touch. In the Premier division at 6.30pm, the Eagles will play the Stingrays, while the Vipers will kick off their season when they play the Wolves. The Scorpions have the bye in round two. In the B Division at 7.20pm, the Stingrays will play the Scorpions, while the Wolves will take on the Vipers. In the Men’s division, the Uni Blues were three touchdown winners over the Western Dodgers, while the Melbourne City Lions and the Bayside Vipers both scored plenty of touchdowns against the Northern Falcons and the Casey Cougars respectively. In round four of the Men’s division, the Vipers continued their winning ways with their three touchdown win over the Blues, while the Cougars and the Dodgers were both two touchdown winners over the Falcons and the Lions respectively. After four rounds of the competition, the Vipers sit on top of the ladder of the Men’s division, with four wins from their four games.In round three of Women’s division, the Lions were six touchdown winners over the Falcons, while the Blues were too good for the Cougars, winning 5-1. The Vipers were big winners in round three, beating the Dodgers by nine touchdowns, 9-0.The Lions and the Vipers continued their good form in round four. The Lions proved too strong for the Dodgers, winning by nine touchdowns, while the Cougars and the Vipers were both three touchdown winners over the Falcons and the Blues respectively.After four rounds of the competition the Vipers and the Lions are still undefeated and will meet in the first round this weekend to determine who will continue their undefeated run. It was a busy weekend for touch in Traralgon last weekend, which hosted rounds three and four of the VT League, as well as the 20/20 drop off tournament for regional teams. Blackest Cat and Australian Men’s Open vice captain Jason Stanton was in attendance, as was Australian Men’s 20’s coach Micheal Lovett for the Trends of the Game breakfast. A Level One refereeing course was also conducted on the Sunday, to finish off a touch-filled weekend.  All teams will be tested this Saturday when both divisions play three rounds each, with the games to be played at Casey Fields in Cranbourne, commencing at 12pm. The Women’s round five games will see the Lions playing the Vipers, the Cougars take on Western Dodgers and the Blues will play the Falcons. In round five of the Men’s competition, the Dodgers will play the Falcons, the Vipers will meet the Lions, while the Cougars will face the Blues. In round six of the Women’s division, the Blues will play the Lions, Cougars take on the Vipers and the Falcons will take on the Dodgers. In the Men’s round six games, Cougars will play the Dodgers, Vipers face off against the Northern Falcons and the Blues take on the LionsIn the final round of the day, the Vipers will play the Falcons, the Lions take on the Cougars and the Dodgers meet the Blues. In the Men’s round seven games, the Falcons will play the Blues, the Dodgers will play the Vipers and the Lions will play the Cougars.
