Carrick Swans Secretary Sean O’Shea believes allowing teams to enter tournaments when they haven’t earned the right to play on the field is ‘divisive’.The issue came to the fore late last year when two of the semi-finalists in the County U21A hurling championship were nominated by their divisional boards.Sean O’Shea can’t see any upside to the current situation saying it makes a mockery of the word championship and is merely ticking a box.
